3. List the general characteristics of bryophytes, the nonvascular land plants, and relate these characteristics to the limitations of the natural habitat of bryophytes.
4. List the general characteristics of tracheophytes, the vascular land plants, and relate these characteristics to the greater adaptability of vascular plants over nonvascular plants to terrestrial habitats.
5. List possible reasons why angiosperms are more diverse in number and kind than any other plant group.
6. Identify evolutionary trends (e.g. from gametophyte dominant to sporophyte dominant, methods of reproduction) demonstrated by a survey of the Kingdom Plantae.
